Tai Chi Mastery
A Special Workshop by Master Eric Sbarge in Columbia, SC

The workshop will be held at the Columbia Tai Chi Center, 2910 Rosewood Dr., Columbia, SC, the school of Peaceful Dragon student, Sifu Wes Adams, and is open to beginners and advanced, old and young alike.

Session I: 9:30am-4:30pm
Tai Chi to Boost Health and Vitality
Through lecture, discussion and hands-on applications you'll gain a thorough understanding of Tai Chi's key philosophical principles and how to put them directly to work for your own health and well-being. Movement emphasis will be on perfecting your posture, smoothing transitions between movements, and using tui shou (push hands) patterns to refine posture.

Session II: 6:00pm-9:30pm
Tai Chi Self-Defense and Push Hands
You'll learn principles, strategies and methods to maximize your inherent power, and minimize your disadvantages. See how positioning and leverage allow you to make the most of your physical and energetic power.

About Master Eric Sbarge
Master Sbarge is the director and head instructor of The Peaceful Dragon in Charlotte, NC, the largest center for tai chi, Shaolin kung fu, Chinese yoga and Zen meditation in the Carolinas. In 2005 he was inducted into the United States Martial Arts Hall of Fame as Outstanding Kung Fu Master.

Sunday, April 2, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Day-long Meditation and Yoga Retreat

Master Eric Sbarge, head instructor at The Peaceful Dragon, will lead an extended session of Chan (Zen) meditation and Shaolin Yoga. The retreat is open to everyone regardless of experience.

Take advantage of discussions and explanations on meditation principles and methods, plus experience intensive practice of meditation. Combine that with in-depth look at the postures and principles of Shaolin yoga.

Early bird price: $79 public, $49 ACCS students, FREE to all Peaceful Dragon students from your activity fee. After March 28 add $20 (except Peaceful Dragon students).

Black Hat / Pagua method of Feng Shui with Dale Saufley

Dale Saufley, Certified Tai Chi instructor and Feng Shui practitioner, will lead an informative workshop on Black Hat Feng Shui.

Feng Shui is the ancient Chinese art of placement. It is believed that the environment that you live and work in has a direct impact on many aspects of your life: wealth, fame, relationships, creativity, travel, career, knowledge and family.

In this workshop you will learn:

  • What to put in your bedroom to set your love life on fire.
  • The essential office accessory for money to flow into your wallet.
  • The biggest energy zapper in every home - and how to neutralize it.
  • ... and much more!

Workshop attendees need to bring your home plot plan (lot with the home outline), interior plan (sketch that is pretty accurate would do), and office or place of business plan - if you own a business or work from home.

Workshop Tuition:
Early bird price: General Public: $35; A.C.C.S. affiliated student: $20. After April 12, add $10. Payments by Cash Only. A minimun of 8 students are required to hold the workshop. Tuition includes class notes and light refreshments.

Registration Forms are available at the front counter and must be turned no later than Wednesday, April 21. Sorry, no late registrations can be accepted.

There is no fee for competitors: it's completely covered by your activity fee. Spectators fee $3 (children aged 3 and under FREE). All spectator fees go to The Peaceful Dragon Scholarship Fund.


Saturday, May 21, 10:30 AM - 6:30 PM
Introduction to Hsing-I Chuan

One of the three Internal Martial Arts that we teach. Hsing-I Chuan emphasizes straight line movements utilizing simple stepping patterns and five basic hand patterns. An excellent complement to your Tai Chi training, or other Martial Arts training. In this workshop, you will learn:

  • San Ti Stepping
  • San Ti Meditation
  • Five Basic Element Drills
  • The Five Element Form

This workshop is open to everyone regardless of level or experience.

Workshop Tuition:
Early bird price: $79 public, $49 A.C.C.S. students, FREE to all Hall of the White Snake students from your activity fee. After May 14 add $20 (except Hall of the White Snake students).
